Twenty Year Reiki Anniversary

It occurred to me yesterday morning during meditation practice that last week was the anniversary of receiving Reiki Training twenty years ago! I am so grateful for the plethora of amazing Reiki experiences over the last twenty years. It is impossible for me to envision my life without Reiki and its healing, guided energy. There has not been one day in the twenty years when Reiki was not consciously present in my life. Thank you, Reiki, for all the gifts and Teachings!

The Invisible White Rabbit – A Parable in Determination

The Invisible White Rabbit - A Parable in Determination is based on a story by Edward Hays. Biofield therapies are still considered controversial.  I am curious when biofield therapies like Reiki will no longer be called "complementary and alternative medicine". I find it interesting that biofield therapies like Reiki, some of which have been around for thousands of years, are considered "alternative medicine," and allopathic medicine, relatively new, is called "traditional medicine". Somehow, those two phrases do not logically make sense based on which is traditional and which is the new "alternative". I'm interested in your thoughts and perceptions on the following review: Biofield Therapies: Helpful or Full of Hype?...

Is Reiki Science or Hype?

Reiki has been in my life for so long that it is hard for me to imagine Reiki being something foreign, mystical, or unusual. I first received training in 1995 and have practiced Reiki in some form every day since. Based on that information, you can see how hard it is for me to question; is Reiki science or hype? For me, that would be like questioning if the water is wet or if the night is dark....

Doubt

Doubt. Just writing the word stirs something inside me. I'm aware of feeling uncomfortable just seeing it, and since I'm using voice recognition software, saying it out loud. Doubt. Where does doubt come from? Are we taught doubt? Is doubt ingrained in our DNA? I wonder how much our life experiences influence the degree of doubt that expresses itself in our minds and bodies. ...
